Porotherm lintels are available with our system. External and internal lintels with the special clay shells, concrete fills reinforced with steel make a perfect lintel above openings. Coming precasted in quarter meters from the factory. Available sizes (length): 1m, 1.25m, 1.5m, 1.75m, 2m, 2.25m, 2.5m. Every lintel needs 150mm bearing on each side. For example: 1m lintel need 300mm bearing and are suitable for 700mm or smaller openings. -

The poroton U cups are mainly used at the top of the wall to forming ring beam. The U cups with steel bars and concrete fill are a perfect solution at wall plate level. The formed ring beam and the concrete gives you the freedom to fit any type of roof to your building. We also use the Porotherm U blocks as a lintel above wider opening. The precast lintel available up to 2.5m (minus 2x150mm bearing) so above 2.3m wide openings we use these clay U blocks to form a massive (insulated) lintel. Insulated Height Compensation Poroton Block HAZ Use these blocks where you need to level out the height, like under the sides of lintels, on lintels or window openings e.g. Approx. height: 121 mm, one side smoothed. Filler bricks can be used to form the heads over the internal door ops. It can also be used as a filler brick at the back of a window sill, for precast concrete floors to build up to course level or it can used to form a half course within internal walls if necessary.
